The Law Of Attraction

Ooh what’s this you may ask! The Law of Attraction? Hmm… Some super awesome law that helps you find your perfect partner? The perfect way to be attractive? Something to do with magnets? Nope! This is about how you can get what you want by believing in it!

The first time I had heard of the law of attraction was in my first meeting with Charlotte about Arbonne. Basically for those that don’t know it is this:

The law of attraction is the name given to the maxim “like attracts like” which in New Thought philosophy is used to sum up the idea that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts a person brings positive or negative experiences into their life.[1][2] This belief is based upon the idea that people and their thoughts are both made from “pure energy”, and the belief that like energy attracts like energy.

This was taken from the Wikipedia article on the Law of Attraction.

So to put it ‘normal words’, if you put positive vibes out you will get them back. If you want something hard enough and put the work in you’ll get it!

Now I’m not religious or particularly spiritual, but I do believe that the energy you give out will come back to you. This is why I always try my hardest both physically and mentally with whatever task I’m faced with because I know I will gain from it in the future. I’ve always been positive minded and this has really helped me with the opportunities and experiences I have gained in my life.

For example, when at sixth form I wanted to be Head Girl. It was something I’d wanted to do from day one at that school and I’d structured so much of my time at school to make me a great candidate for the role. When faced with the interview I lost all passion and positivity. I was saying what I thought they wanted to hear, not what I wanted to say. I didn’t want it right. In the end, the role went to someone else who did the most amazing job – far better than I ever would have been able to do. Instead of really becoming negative about the situation and putting down the other candidates and proclaiming the school got it wrong, I picked myself up and put my positive head on and aimed for the sky. I was then rewarded the position of House Captain which I was so so thrilled by. I think if I had been negative in my defeat, I would have never had the opportunities later presented to me. I showed I could grow and remain positive in situations of disappointment.

So why believe in the Law of Attraction?

Because what have you got to lose?! You only can gain from putting positive vibes out there, even if you don’t feel like it’s directly affecting your life it will affect those around you brining positive energy to you life indirectly. Being a positive person will attract positive people and positive experiences and you can’t ask for much more!

If you really want something to happen like a new job or a promotion or to achieve an award in a hobby, you’re not going to get it if you don’t change anything. If your a mundane worker that does the job in hand but never works extra or puts extra detail in, it will never happen. It’s about working for what you want and understanding that to get great things you have to do great things! My blog doesn’t grow if I sit around and hope it does, I have to put the work in connecting with bloggers and writing posts!

The Law of Attraction isn’t about luck or fate. It’s about life and reality and working hard to achieve. It’s not a free pass or advance to GO, it’s a journey of positive thinking and a positive attitude!

Is it a load of mumbo jumbo?

I don’t think so! And so what even if you think it is, does it really hurt to be more positive in your life? Nope! Plus, you don’t know unless you’ve tried so give it a go! I managed to more than double my money on the roulette in a casino the other night just be thinking about the law of attraction (*disclaimer* I can’t guarantee in any way that the law of attraction will make you money haha, another *disclaimer* I’m not a gambler, I’ve been like twice with my Dad) I wanted my numbers to come in hard enough and was putting out those positive vibes and guess who’s numbers came in? Mine!

I wish I could tell you with proof that positive thinking will get you what you want, but I can’t because you have to try it for yourself. Put into play positive actions and positive work and you might just see a change! People will notice a difference and you’ll gain more confidence as you go, isn’t that worth it alone?

Just do it.

Have I gone on about it enough? Are you going to use the Law of Attraction to your advantage? I hope so, if not scroll up and read this again and again until you do! There is honestly nothing you can lose from it so seriously unless you are the most pessimistic person on the planet this will work for you!

Sold? Good.
